About

Charities

Charities are run by Trustees who give up their time, working voluntarily. A charity can employ staff, some of whom may be trustees, but there are rules to navigate, we can help you with these.

Charity accounts can often be more complex than business accounts, and as a result we have heard of numerous firms of accountants that don’t deal with charity accounts, we are happy to say that we are able to provide the service that you need. Whether you are forming a charity, setting up a governing document, registering for gift aid, completing annual charity commission returns, or simply ensuring you are operating financially above board, ClearWay Accounting would be delighted to be your partner.

We can provide all the services that you need to help you run your charity with the exception of audits, however, if your annual revenue is below £1 million, you probably won’t need an audit anyway, and as members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, we are able to sign independent examination reports up to this level.
